OPTIMIZE PERSONAL IMAGING SYSTEM

The Goal

Create a lightweight, compact and fully mobile personal image display and communication system ergonomically attuned to the unique demands of surgeons. Develop an adjustable wireless front optics module for the imaging system.
The Challenge

Design a high-precision imaging system using a liquid crystal microdisplay module that can be mounted to a corresponding eyeglass unit.

Create adjustable eyepieces without compromising the optical path.
The Solution

1. Building the design from the inside out, a minimum size module was created.
2. By combining a leadscrew with flexible bands, the eyepieces can be fully adjusted with a simple thumbwheel.
The Results

The company's OptiVu HDVD line of eyeglass-mounted display systems integrates high-resolution electro-optics, wireless communications and surgical ergonomics, enabling surgeons to improve performance, efficiency and patient outcomes.
